Because each child’s need is different, each applicant receives individual attention. Apart from trikes, other examples of equipment provided in the recent past include walking aids, car seats, other specialised seating systems and buoyancy aids to encourage the children to swim as independently as possible. If you have a child who is disabled and might be helped by some specialist equipment, and who lives or goes to school in our defined local area, please contact us. EDC will do what it can to help. So far EDC has helped children with a wide variety of disabling conditions including: Arthritis Autism Cerebral palsy Cystic fibrosis Down’s syndrome Epilepsy Head injuries Hydrocephalus Lissencephaly Low muscle tone Muscular dystrophy Neurofibromatosis Spina bifida Stroke |
